The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab has predicted light rainfall in most districts of the province starting today, with showers expected to continue until November 5.

According to a PDMA spokesperson, the rain spell is likely to bring much-needed relief by improving air quality and lowering temperatures across Punjab, which has been experiencing dense smog and pollution in recent days.

As per the forecast, rainfall is expected in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, Attock, Talagang, Jhelum, and Sargodha. Meanwhile, other areas including Khushab, Gujranwala, Sialkot, and Narowal are also likely to receive light showers.

The PDMA added that the rainfall could help clear the persistent haze and provide temporary relief from smog related health concerns in major urban centers.
