Renowned Pakistani actress Mahira Khan has finally addressed her past conflict with veteran writer Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar ,admitting she could have handled the situation better. Speaking during a recent podcast, Mahira expressed regret over publicly criticizing the writer without first reaching out to him privately.

“If I had any complaint, I should’ve called him directly. He was right,” Mahira admitted, showing emotional maturity and a willingness to reflect on her past actions. Her statement comes as a rare gesture of reconciliation in an industry often marked by egos and media-driven feuds.

The actress shared that her reaction stemmed from an article she came across during a late-night film shoot, which led her to tweet impulsively in frustration. However, with time and reflection, she realized that personal differences should be addressed privately, not aired in public.

Mahira also revealed that her mother played a key role in helping her understand the value of respectful communication, especially with senior colleagues. “My mother helped me realize I should’ve spoken to him personally. It was never about disrespect, but I see now how it could be taken that way.”

While acknowledging her mistake, Mahira emphasized the broader issue of silence in the face of power. She noted that many people avoid speaking up against influential figures due to fear of professional consequences, a problem that still persists in the industry.

The actress also responded to past criticism from other senior actors, making it clear that personal attacks no longer disturb her. “There was a time when such comments affected me, but now, I’ve learned to rise above them.”

Mahira Khan’s recent remarks are being viewed as a mature and graceful effort to bring closure to a public rift, and many fans have praised her honesty and growth. Her approach serves as a reminder that even in the public eye, accountability and humility can go hand in hand.
