Renowned Pakistani actress Saba Qamar has found herself at the center of controversy after a recent interview clip went viral, where she appeared to express strong feelings about Karachi.

During the interview, when asked if she would ever consider moving to Karachi, Saba responded with a surprised “Astaghfirullah!” — a remark that instantly sparked criticism online. Many social media users from Karachi called her comment disrespectful and demanded an apology, arguing that it was unfair to demean a city that has played a major role in her career.

In response to the backlash, Saba Qamar took to Instagram to share her thoughts. The actress wrote that she has been busy with her work and finds it surprising that her personal opinions are being treated as breaking news. She emphasized that everyone has a right to their own feelings and preferences.

Meanwhile, actress Iffat Omar came forward in Saba’s support, saying that no one should be forced to like a place. She bluntly added that “Karachi is dirty,” reigniting the debate among fans and media circles.

The controversy continues to divide opinions, with some defending Saba’s right to personal choice, while others believe public figures should express themselves more carefully.
