Actress Mahira Khan has finally addressed the unpleasant incident that occurred during the London promotion of her latest film.
Mahira Khan and Humayun Saeed have been touring the U.S., U.K., Dubai, and various cities in Pakistan to promote their new film Love Guru. However, during a meet-and-greet event in London, mismanagement led to a troubling situation.
In the middle of a packed crowd, Mahira found herself overwhelmed as a security guard came uncomfortably close to her. She appeared visibly uneasy and unsafe. The incident was caught on video and quickly went viral on social media, prompting fans to criticize the organizers for failing to ensure proper security for a star of her stature.
Sensing the tension, Humayun Saeed stepped in to shield Mahira from the crowd. He also reprimanded those around who were adding to the chaos.
Later, during a private TV appearance, Mahira was asked about the incident. She responded, “I consider myself a strong woman, and in difficult moments, I usually don’t look around for help. I try to act like I don’t need anyone. But that day, when I looked at Humayun, without saying anything, he understood my discomfort—and immediately came to my aid.”
Humayun Saeed added, “I could sense that Mahira was feeling unsafe. And if any woman is in such a situation, I will always step in—whether it’s Mahira or someone else.”
