Police in Nowshera caught the leader of a car-stealing gang that operated across different provinces.
The raid happened at the Azakhel police station area on Wednesday.
According to police officer DSP Muqaddam Khan, they recovered 6 Alto cars, 2 Bolan vehicles, and cash worth Rs. 1.2 million from the gang. The money came from selling other stolen vehicles.
The police arrested a well-known car thief named Ajmal from the Majo area in Charsadda using modern investigation techniques.
Later, another gang member, Wajid, was also arrested from Charsadda. He admitted to the crime and told police about his partners.
Police are still investigating the case.
