A shocking incident has been reported from India’s Tamil Nadu state, where a man murdered his wife and posted a selfie with her body on social media.
According to Indian media, the victim, Sripriya, worked at a private company and had been living separately from her husband due to domestic disputes. Her husband, Balamohan, visited her at the hostel where she stayed, allegedly carrying a sharp weapon hidden in his clothes.
Police said that an argument broke out between the couple during the meeting, after which Balamohan pulled out the concealed sharp-edged weapon and brutally attacked Sripriya, killing her on the spot.
In a disturbing turn, the accused took a selfie with the victim’s body and uploaded it as his WhatsApp status. He reportedly claimed that his wife had betrayed him.
Chaos erupted in the hostel after the incident, but the suspect did not flee. Instead, he waited at the scene until police arrived, who then arrested him and recovered the murder weapon.
Initial investigations suggest that the suspect suspected his wife of being involved in an extramarital relationship, which may have led to the murder.
