KARACHI – A man was shot dead inside his home by unidentified armed assailants in the Sohrab Goth area on Monday morning.
According to police, the incident took place near the Qayyumabad Colony graveyard in the Al-Asif Square area, within the jurisdiction of Sohrab Goth Police Station. The suspects entered the victim’s house and opened fire before fleeing the scene on a motorcycle.
The victim’s body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital via Edhi Ambulance for legal formalities, where he was identified as 25-year-old Zareen Khan, son of Noor Ahmed. Police said the deceased was an Afghan national and worked as a butcher.
SHO Sohrab Goth, Mumtaz Marwat, stated that the victim was asleep when two armed men knocked on the door. As his wife opened it, the assailants forced their way in and shot Zareen Khan in the head at close range. They then escaped on a motorcycle.
