A serious case of mismanagement and possible corruption has been reported at Jinnah Hospital Lahore. Medical equipment worth over Rs12.1 million has gone missing.

The Specialized Healthcare Department has issued a show-cause notice to Dr. Shabbir Hussain.

A three-member inquiry committee found evidence of corruption.

Missing items include operation theater tables, beds, air conditioners, wheelchairs, and other hospital furniture.

Officials said the loss cannot be due to negligence alone and seems deliberate. Strict action has been promised by the department.
