The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Friday unveiled the nominees for the ICC Men’s Player of the Month award for November 2025, with Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz securing a well-deserved place on the shortlist.
The three-man lineup features South Africa’s off-spinner Simon Harmer and Bangladesh’s premier Test wicket-taker Taijul Islam alongside Nawaz.
“A trio of standout performers from South Africa, Bangladesh and Pakistan have been nominated for the ICC Men’s Player of the Month award in November,” the ICC stated.
Harmer earned his nomination following a remarkable display in the Test series against India, claiming 17 wickets at an extraordinary average of just 8.94. His efforts guided South Africa to a historic 2-0 series triumph — their first away Test series win against India since 2000. The veteran spinner took eight wickets in the opening Test and nine in the second, eventually securing the Player of the Series accolade.
Bangladesh’s Taijul Islam also makes the list after finishing as the leading wicket-taker in the home Test series against Ireland. The left-arm spinner collected 13 wickets at an average of 26.30.
Pakistan’s Mohammad Nawaz, meanwhile, enjoyed a standout home season across both limited-overs formats. He played a decisive role in Pakistan’s tri-series victory over Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe. Nawaz scored 104 ODI runs at an average of 52 and a strike rate of 114.28, while also claiming four wickets.
In T20Is, he amassed 52 runs and bagged an impressive 11 wickets at an average of only 12.72. His impactful spell of 3 for 17 in the final against Sri Lanka earned him the Player of the Series honour.
