Monkeypox Case Emerges in Multan After Lahore

A case of monkeypox has also been reported in Multan, the city of saints in Punjab.

‎According to the spokesperson of Nishtar Hospital, a suspected patient under treatment at Nishtar Hospital was tested for monkeypox, which later came back positive. The patient belongs to Khanewal.

‎The spokesperson further said that the patient has been admitted to the isolation ward and treatment is ongoing.

‎It is worth mentioning that a day earlier, four monkeypox patients were also reported at Mayo Hospital in Lahore, where their treatment is currently underway.
