A case of monkeypox has also been reported in Multan, the city of saints in Punjab.
According to the spokesperson of Nishtar Hospital, a suspected patient under treatment at Nishtar Hospital was tested for monkeypox, which later came back positive. The patient belongs to Khanewal.
The spokesperson further said that the patient has been admitted to the isolation ward and treatment is ongoing.
It is worth mentioning that a day earlier, four monkeypox patients were also reported at Mayo Hospital in Lahore, where their treatment is currently underway.
