Federal Minister for Health Mustafa Kamal has directed that separate counters be set up for fever patients in all hospitals to ensure timely diagnosis and treatment of suspected dengue cases.
A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Mustafa Kamal to review the current dengue situation. The meeting was attended by Members of the National Assembly Raja Khurram Shehzad Nawaz and Anjum Aqeel Khan, the Federal Secretary for Health, and heads of hospitals.
Addressing the meeting, Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal said that a coordinated strategy has been formulated to prevent dengue and that effective measures are underway to combat the virus.
Mustafa Kamal stated that a comprehensive strategy and immediate public-level actions are essential to eliminate dengue. He emphasized that all relevant institutions must work together to ensure the safety of citizens.
Issuing further directives, he said that three teams of staff should be formed to combat dengue, with responsibilities assigned under the supervision of the three MNAs to ensure better coordination and effective action in fieldwork.
Mustafa Kamal affirmed that all available resources will be utilized to control the spread of dengue and that, along with public awareness, practical measures will also be ensured.
