Television host and actress Nadia Khan revealed her family connection with Air Vice Marshal Aurangzeb Ahmed, currently a social media sensation and widely regarded as a national hero, during her morning show aired on a private TV channel.
While reminiscing about her husband, retired PAF Wing Commander Faisal Mumtaz Rao, Khan shared a rare photograph from 1988 showing Rao, AVM Aurangzeb Ahmed, and two other PAF colleagues. She noted that the picture reflects the deep camaraderie among the fighter pilots who served together.
Nadia said that after marrying Faisal in 2020, he introduced her to three of his brothers and later mentioned one more—Aurangzeb. “He told me, ‘I have one more brother, Aurangzeb, who is a very competent fighter pilot. And I want you to meet him.’ They used to talk for hours on the phone,” Khan shared.
She also spoke highly of AVM Aurangzeb’s family: “When I finally met him and his family, I was truly impressed. He has a phenomenal personality. His wife is such a graceful lady, and their children are very sweet.”
Faisal Mumtaz Rao, Nadia’s second husband, joined the Pakistan Air Force in 1991 and has flown over 4,000 hours on various aircraft. He later served in the UAE Air Force and appeared in the patriotic ISPR song “Hawa Ka Sipahi.”
This rare insight into the personal lives of decorated PAF officers has sparked admiration and curiosity across social media, further cementing the legacy of Pakistan’s air heroes.
