The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has announced new updates for citizens renewing their CNICs online through the Pak ID mobile app, urging people to submit applications instantly and receive their updated cards at home without any hassle.
In a message shared on social media, NADRA reminded users to rely only on its official Pak ID platform for all identity related services. The authority highlighted that the updated app aims to make the renewal process faster, easier, and more secure for citizens.
NADRA also issued a strong warning about a fraudulent website idcardtracking.online which has been impersonating the authority. Citizens, especially overseas Pakistanis, have been cautioned not to engage with agents or third-party service providers claiming to offer NADRA services.
A complaint has already been lodged with the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency to investigate the fake platform. According to the spokesperson, a website using the name “NADRA Card Centre” is deceiving Pakistani expatriates, particularly those living in the United Kingdom, by pretending to be associated with NADRA.
The authority emphasized that the safest way to avoid fraud is to use only the official Pak ID mobile app for CNIC renewal and other identity services.
