Several Pakistani cricketers will be unable to take part in the entire Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) season due to national commitments.

According to sources, most of the players selected for the BPL are regular members of Pakistan’s T20 squad, which makes their full availability for the league unlikely.

Reports suggest that players who are permanent members of the national T20 setup may not be granted No-Objection Certificates (NOCs), although the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis. The PCB has not officially denied issuing NOCs for the BPL so far.

The BPL is scheduled from December 26 to January 23, during which Pakistan will be touring Sri Lanka for a T20 series. Additionally, the home series against Australia is also planned for the end of January.

Sources say BPL franchises are aware of the uncertain availability of Pakistani players and may opt for replacements.

Pakistani players selected for the BPL include Saim Ayub, Khawaja Nafeh, Sufyan Muqeem, Sahibzada Farhan, and Mohammad Nawaz. Jahandad Khan, Ihsanullah, Haider Ali, Usman Khan, Abrar Ahmed, and Mohammad Amir were also picked by different teams.

Notably, Saim Ayub, Sahibzada Farhan, Mohammad Nawaz, Usman Khan, and Abrar Ahmed are permanent members of Pakistan’s T20 squad.
