ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Petroleum, Ali Pervez Malik, has clarified that Pakistan is not receiving petroleum supplies at concessional or discounted rates from any country at present.
Responding to a question raised by MNA Tahira Aurangzeb during Friday’s National Assembly session, the minister stated in a written reply that currently, no nation is providing oil to Pakistan on preferential or subsidized terms.
The clarification comes amid ongoing speculation about Pakistan securing cheaper fuel deals amid global oil price fluctuations. Malik’s statement highlights that all petroleum imports are being made at regular international market rates.
