Karachi: The Department of Mass Communication at Federal Urdu University’s Abdul Haq Campus organized a one-day workshop titled “Research and Planning.” The session was hosted by Dr. Samreen Faisal, while the guest speaker was Dr. Sarah Wahid, a PhD scholar from Zabist University.

 

The workshop was attended by 40 students from the seventh semester of the department. Dr. Sarah Wahid delivered an insightful lecture on various aspects of research, including how to select a topic, what kind of research topics are most effective, and the characteristics of successful research projects.

She also engaged students in practical exercises such as forming hypotheses and planning research models. Additionally, she shared valuable insights from her 15 years of academic and professional experience in the field.

 

At the conclusion of the session, Dr. Samreen Faisal thanked Dr. Sarah Wahid for her valuable contribution and presented her with a bouquet as a token of appreciation.

 

The objective of the workshop was to equip students with practical research skills and enhance their understanding of effective planning in the field of mass communication.
