More than 600 people were admitted to Allied, Civil, and General Hospitals in Faisalabad after suffering from gastroenteritis, allegedly caused by the consumption of spicy and unhygienic food during Eid-ul-Adha celebrations.

‎Health officials, on Monday, warned the public to avoid excessive intake of oily and spicy foods and emphasized the importance of hygiene while preparing meals. “Moderation and cleanliness are key to preventing gastrointestinal issues,” doctors advised.

‎‎The surge in cases is believed to be linked to the heavy traditional dishes commonly consumed during Eid festivities.

‎‎In a related development, more than 150 untrained individuals sustained injuries while slaughtering animals and were rushed to emergency departments for treatment.
