Pakistan Customs conducted a major operation in Dera Ismail Khan, seizing crystal methamphetamine (Ice) worth over Rs 910 million from a passenger bus.
According to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), the customs team recovered 15.2 kilograms of Ice during the inspection of a passenger coach.
While the confiscated drugs were being transported to a government warehouse, unidentified assailants opened fire on the customs officials in an attempt to retrieve the narcotics.
The FBR confirmed that timely action by the customs personnel ensured the safety of both the officials and the seized contraband.
