Pakistan has expressed serious concern over the rising number of Islamophobic incidents in India, urging the Indian government to uphold the rights and safety of all its citizens, regardless of their religious beliefs.
In response to media queries about the growing trend of anti-Muslim hate speech and violence across India, the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the discriminatory treatment of Muslims and called for immediate action.
“The targeting of Muslims through hate campaigns, discriminatory policies, and apparent state complicity is a matter of deep concern not just for Pakistan, but for the international community,” said the ministry’s spokesperson.
The spokesperson stressed that, “At a time when restraint and reconciliation are urgently needed, the deliberate incitement of religious hatred for political or ideological gains represents a grave violation of international human rights norms. Such actions threaten communal harmony and regional stability.”
Pakistan urged the global community to take note of the worsening situation and called on Indian authorities to ensure justice, tolerance, and equal protection for all religious communities.
