Islamabad: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration staff offloaded a passenger at Islamabad International Airport for attempting to travel to Europe illegally under the guise of an Umrah visa.
According to officials, the passenger, identified as Muhammad Usman, was intercepted during immigration clearance for flight PK-713. Authorities discovered that he had previously been deported from Italy for illegal entry and had remained in contact with multiple human smugglers.
Further inspection of the passenger’s mobile phone led to the recovery of a tampered resident card, with altered expiry details. The suspect reportedly intended to travel from Saudi Arabia to Europe using forged documents.
FIA took the passenger into custody and handed him over to the Gujranwala Composite Circle for further legal action.
