Lahore: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has unveiled a revised and significantly enhanced prize-money structure for PSL 11, marking one of the most substantial financial upgrades in the league’s history. According to the new framework, the champion team will receive US$ 500,000, a notable increase aimed at elevating the competitive standard of the tournament.

The runners-up will now be awarded US$ 300,000, while a newly introduced category will honor the franchise contributing most effectively to cricket development in Pakistan. The winner of this category will receive US$ 200,000, reflecting the board’s intention to reward long-term growth and structural investment in the sport.

Chairman Naqvi stated that the Pakistan Super League is not only the country’s biggest cricketing brand but also a major global T20 entity, and enhancing the prize pool is essential for sustaining its momentum. He emphasized the board’s commitment to taking Pakistan cricket “to new heights.”

PSL 11 will feature eight teams for the first time, with the auction for the two new franchises scheduled for January 6, 2026. Analysts believe the expansion underscores the league’s rising commercial value and its strengthening position in world cricket.
