A peanut vendor was shot dead in Faisalabad after objecting to a customer who picked up and ate peanuts without paying.
The incident took place in D-Type Colony, where, according to police, the suspect identified as Mudassar took peanuts from a pushcart without making payment. When the vendor objected, the suspect allegedly opened fire.
As a result of the shooting, the vendor died on the spot, while his brother sustained injuries and was shifted to a nearby hospital.
Following the incident, the victim’s family staged a protest, demanding the immediate arrest of the accused. Police have registered a case and launched a manhunt to trace and arrest the suspect.
