KARACHI: The three-day 23rd Pharma Asia Exhibition 2025 concluded with unprecedented success, generating more than $170 million in business deals and attracting over 27,000 pharmaceutical professionals from across Pakistan and around the world. The event marked a major milestone in Pakistan’s efforts to expand its pharmaceutical footprint and strengthen its position in the global healthcare supply chain.

More than 200 international exhibitors from 10 countries took part in the exhibition, with companies from China, Italy, Turkey, Switzerland, and Spain showcasing cutting-edge machinery, pharmaceutical raw materials, packaging solutions, and advanced quality control systems. China established the largest international pavilion, underscoring its strong engagement and growing influence in Pakistan’s pharmaceutical market.

The extensive display of modern pharmaceutical technology highlighted industry-wide advancements and signaled Pakistan’s determination to move toward its ambitious $10 billion annual pharma export target.

Industry leadership praises investment momentum

On the final day, the DRAP session drew significant interest from attendees. Kamran Nasir, Acting Chairman of the Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association, commended the efforts of the Sindh Investment Facilitation Centre (SIFC) for supporting investor-friendly reforms that have boosted international confidence in Pakistan’s pharmaceutical sector.

Farhan Anees, Vice President of E-Commerce Gateway Pakistan, also praised the strong participation from both local and international stakeholders. He noted that SIFC’s policies have become a key driver of foreign investment, enabling productive partnerships and growth opportunities.

Growing relevance of Pakistan’s pharmaceutical industry

The event’s record-breaking turnout, high-value deals, and strong international participation underscored Pakistan’s emerging importance in the global pharmaceutical industry. With increased investor interest, modern technological adoption, and strengthened regulatory engagement, Pharma Asia Exhibition 2025 has set a new benchmark for industry-focused trade events in the country.
