New York — At the conclusion of the Arab-Islamic Summit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held an informal conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump in a cordial atmosphere. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar was also present during the exchange.
The summit provided an opportunity for world leaders to engage in warm handshakes and candid discussions. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan described the meeting between President Trump and Muslim leaders as “very useful.”
Ahead of the UN General Assembly session, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also met with Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Jordan’s King Abdullah II, and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto. Their talks focused on regional stability and peace initiatives.
While Muslim leaders put forward their perspectives and suggestions for peace, no joint plan of action was formally announced at this stage.
