Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has strongly condemned rumors circulating in Afghan and Indian media about the health of party leader Imran Khan, calling the reports “malicious and irresponsible.”
In its statement, the party demanded that the government and the Interior Ministry immediately reject the speculation and allow Imran Khan’s family an urgent meeting to verify his condition.
PTI spokesperson Sheikh Waqas Akram urged the government to issue a clear and transparent statement regarding Imran Khan’s health and safety. He called for a thorough investigation into the sources spreading the rumors, insisting that the nation would not tolerate confusion surrounding their leader.
He added that ensuring Imran Khan’s safety and protecting his fundamental rights is the government’s responsibility. The spokesperson said PTI would take all necessary legal and political steps to counter misinformation and bring forward the truth.
The party’s strong reaction comes amid growing concern among supporters following unverified reports about the former prime minister’s well-being.
