LAHORE: The Punjab government has approved a relaxation in the recruitment ban at the Punjab Education Initiative Management Authority (PEIMA), allowing the authority to fill essential vacant positions.
The decision was taken after the School Education Department submitted a summary seeking permission to recruit staff for necessary posts. The approved recruitment will be carried out under the prescribed rules and regulations and strictly on merit.
Officials said the move is aimed at filling critical vacancies and ensuring the smooth functioning of PEIMA, which works on education-sector initiatives in the province.
The relaxation is expected to provide an opportunity for eligible candidates to apply for essential positions once recruitment advertisements are issued. Applicants will be required to meet the qualifications and other conditions specified for each post.
The government’s decision comes as Punjab continues efforts to strengthen the management and implementation of its education programmes through improved staffing and administrative capacity.
