‎A meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Communicable Diseases, Dengue and Disaster Management was held in Lahore. Punjab Health Ministers Khawaja Salman Rafique and Khawaja Imran Nazir jointly chaired the meeting.

‎On the occasion, the Punjab Health Ministers said that special attention is being given to districts where dengue breeding is taking place. Measures being taken to control the latest dengue situation across the province were reviewed during the meeting.

‎Provincial Minister Khawaja Imran Nazir directed the relevant officials to become immediately active. He said that positive results of anti dengue operations have always been observed during June and July.

‎Khawaja Imran Nazir said that efforts to control the dengue virus are not the responsibility of a single department, but the responsibility of all stakeholders.

‎Khawaja Imran directed CEOs Health to remain in continuous contact with the district administration.

‎He said that dengue can be eliminated by adopting HR management and the volunteer model. It was also decided to involve university and college students in anti dengue activities.
