Lahore: Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has stated that Punjab Police is actively engaged in relief and rehabilitation efforts in flood-affected areas. He assured that preparations are complete to deal with any potential spells of heavy rain and subsequent flood situations.
According to IG Punjab, the police force is in constant coordination with the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), district administration, civil defense, rescue services, and other security agencies to ensure an effective emergency response.
Dr. Usman Anwar emphasized that Punjab Police is fully committed to protecting the lives and property of citizens during emergencies and continues to stand shoulder to shoulder with other departments in rescue and relief operations for flood victims.
A Punjab Police spokesperson added that police officers and personnel are actively involved in restoring damaged access roads, carrying out relief activities, and distributing food and daily essentials to those affected by the floods.
