In Punjab, four environmental samples tested positive for the polio virus last month (November).
According to Adeel Tasawur, Incharge of the Polio Eradication Programme, 14 positive samples were found in January and 12 in October, which have now decreased to just four.
He stated that the new national anti-polio campaign is starting from Monday, 15 December.
Adeel Tasawur said that more than 200,000 polio workers will administer vaccines to 17 million children.
