Punjab: Polio Virus Detected in 4 Environmental Samples in November

In Punjab, four environmental samples tested positive for the polio virus last month (November).

‎According to Adeel Tasawur, Incharge of the Polio Eradication Programme, 14 positive samples were found in January and 12 in October, which have now decreased to just four.

‎He stated that the new national anti-polio campaign is starting from Monday, 15 December.

‎Adeel Tasawur said that more than 200,000 polio workers will administer vaccines to 17 million children.
