The Punjab Education Department has finalized a new winter schedule for schools, set to take effect from October 20, 2025, and continue until March 2026.

Reports on social media suggested that the provincial government might end the weekly Saturday holiday. However, Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat clarified that schools will continue to observe Saturdays as off days.

The updated schedule has been submitted to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for formal approval, and the revised school hours will be implemented once her signature is received.
