Lahore, October 28, 2025 — Punjab’s educational boards are introducing a new system that will allow parents to directly access their children’s exam results using their own CNIC numbers starting from the 2026 academic year.
The initiative is aimed at increasing transparency and ensuring greater parental involvement in education. With this new feature, students will no longer be able to hide their results from their families.
In the first phase, the policy will apply to ninth and tenth-grade results, and will later expand to intermediate-level exams.
The Lahore Board alone conducts exams for over a million students each year, meaning the change will impact a large number of families across Punjab.
Officials stated that the move comes after recent matric exam results showed a low passing percentage, prompting concerns about student performance and the need for stronger academic support systems in schools.
The initiative reflects Punjab’s continued efforts to digitize education services and strengthen communication between schools and parents.
