Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has approved a relief package waiving semester fees for students from flood-affected districts. Admission fees for first-year BS students have also been eliminated.

The initiative covers students from Muzaffargarh, Multan, Lodhran, Vehari, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Chiniot, and Kasur. The government has also extended university registration deadlines by 20 days and the Honhar Scholarship application deadline by one month.

Officials said the move aims to ease financial burdens on families while ensuring education continues uninterrupted. CM Maryam Nawaz pledged full support for flood victims, including rehabilitation and compensation.
