LAHORE: Parents and students across Punjab remain uncertain as the provincial government has not yet confirmed whether summer vacations in schools and colleges will be extended beyond August 15.

According to a notification issued in May, all public and private schools are scheduled to reopen on August 15, 2025. However, media reports suggest that attendance on the first day is expected to remain low, with regular classes likely to resume from August 18, after the weekend.

So far, no official announcement has been made regarding an extension. Education department officials have stated that any decision will depend on a review of prevailing weather conditions in the province.

The delay in confirmation has left many parents and institutions waiting anxiously, especially as high temperatures continue across several regions of Punjab.
