London — Social media is buzzing with claims that Pakistani influencers Rajab Butt and Nadeem Mubarak, better known online as “Nani Wala,” were recently spotted gambling at a high-end casino in London.
The rumor began circulating after several Instagram accounts shared short video clips and stills said to show the two digital creators seated at a roulette table in what appears to be a central London casino. None of the posts, however, include verified footage or traceable timestamps — and as of now, no credible media outlet or law-enforcement agency has confirmed the claim.
Still, the story gained traction quickly, largely because both men are already facing scrutiny back home. Pakistan’s National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has been investigating Rajab Butt and Nadeem Mubarak for allegedly promoting illegal online betting and so-called “trading” apps through their social media platforms. Officials have accused several influencers of luring followers into gambling-related scams disguised as investment schemes.
A senior NCCIA officer, speaking to Dawn earlier this year, said that promoting or facilitating such apps is a punishable offense under Pakistan’s electronic crime laws. Both Butt and Mubarak were reportedly summoned for questioning after multiple complaints were filed.
The London casino story, though unverified, has reignited debate about influencer accountability and the blurred line between online promotion and unlawful activity. Some users on X (formerly Twitter) called the alleged casino visit “hypocritical,” given the ongoing investigations in Pakistan, while others dismissed the posts as “just gossip with no proof.”
Neither Rajab Butt nor Nadeem Mubarak has issued a public statement addressing the latest allegations. Their verified social-media accounts remain active but silent on the casino matter.
At this stage, there’s no official confirmation that the two men were gambling in London, and the circulating clips could easily be from unrelated or older footage. Until verifiable evidence emerges, the claim remains speculative.
