During the ongoing anti dengue campaign, workers and supervisors who remained absent from duty have been dismissed from their jobs.
According to health officials, negligence was observed during the anti dengue campaign in Rawalpindi. Workers and supervisors did not participate in the campaign, remained absent, and continued sending fake photos to officers to mark their attendance.
Officials stated that due to negligence and absenteeism, 12 male and female workers, including supervisors, have been terminated from their jobs, while further investigations are underway.
According to the Health Department, a total of 374 dengue cases have been reported in the city so far, out of which 82 patients are currently under treatment in different hospitals.
The Health Department added that to curb the spread of dengue, 1,306,235 sites have been inspected so far, with larvae found at 145,575 locations.
For violations of SOPs, 3,845 cases have been registered, 1,677 premises sealed, 3,285 challans issued, and fines amounting to Rs. 9,761,007 have been imposed.
