Rawalpindi: Police have arrested the principal of a private academy in Rawalpindi on charges of repeatedly raping a Grade 10 student and forcing her to undergo an abortion.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), the victim — a resident of Khayaban-i-Sir Syed in Pirwadhai — alleged that the principal initially promised to help her achieve good matriculation grades. Over time, he allegedly exploited her trust, luring her into a sexual relationship under the false pretext of marriage.
The FIR states that when the victim became pregnant, the suspect coerced her into taking medication to terminate the pregnancy. She further claimed that the abuse continued, leading to a second pregnancy, after which the principal refused to marry her and subjected her to physical violence.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Rawal Arshad confirmed the arrest, stating that swift action was taken and that police will present strong evidence in court to ensure exemplary punishment for the accused.
