Rawalpindi police have arrested the father of a domestic worker during the investigation of a house burglary case, following revelations made by the prime suspect.
According to a spokesperson for Rawalpindi Police, cash amounting to Rs550,000 was recovered from the accused, which was obtained through the sale of stolen gold jewelry. Earlier, the domestic worker had been arrested, and Rs350,000 recovered from her, also linked to the sale of the looted ornaments.
Police said that during interrogation, the domestic worker disclosed her father’s involvement. Upon being taken into custody, the suspect admitted to jointly stealing and selling gold jewelry along with his daughter.
The case was registered last month, and police stated that the accused would be challaned in court with substantial evidence to ensure legal proceedings and due punishment.
