Veteran comedian Lucky Dear, widely known for his contributions to theatre, television, and film, passed away in Lahore at the age of 60 after a prolonged illness.
According to family sources, the comedian had been battling lung disease and diabetes for the past eight months. He was admitted to Mayo Hospital, Lahore, where his condition gradually worsened. In his final days, Lucky Dear slipped into a coma as his kidneys, liver, and stomach stopped functioning.
Family members confirmed that his funeral prayers will be offered after Asr in Baghbanpura, Lahore, with a large number of fellow artists, relatives, and fans expected to attend.
Lucky Dear had been an integral part of Pakistan’s showbiz industry for over four decades. He appeared in countless stage dramas, television serials, and films, entertaining audiences with his unique comedic timing, witty dialogues, and lively performances. His artistry made him one of the most beloved comedians in the country.
Colleagues from the entertainment fraternity expressed deep grief over his passing, calling it an irreparable loss. Fellow actors and comedians remarked that Lucky Dear’s contribution to the stage and screen will be remembered for years, as he leaves behind a rich legacy of laughter and joy.
