The revised PC-1 for the third time has been prepared for the Children’s Hospital Phase Two project in Nawaz Sharif District Medical City Lahore. The PC-1 has been submitted to the Planning and Development (P&D) Board by the Health Department and IDAP.

‎According to the new PC-1, the hospital’s capacity has been limited to 989 beds, whereas earlier the project proposed 1039 beds.

‎According to officials, the estimated cost of the proposed project has been set at 94 billion rupees, while earlier the total cost was fixed at 108 billion rupees, which has been reduced after revision.

‎According to the documents, the total covered area of the Children’s Hospital Phase Two building has been proposed at 2.176 million square feet. Under the project, a modern medical institution for the treatment of blood diseases in children will also be established.

‎Officials say that along with treatment, research facilities will also be included in the project, while important measures will also be taken to improve health services for special children.

‎Children’s Hospital Phase Two will prove to be a major center for providing modern medical facilities for children in Punjab, from which sick children coming from across the province will receive better treatment facilities.
