Indian Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh and Pakistani actress Hania Aamir’s latest film Sardaar Ji 3 has set a new benchmark at the Pakistani box office, becoming the highest-grossing Indian film ever released in the country.
According to the latest box office figures, the film earned PKR 210 million in its first week, followed by an additional PKR 95 million in the second week. On just the first day of its third week, Sardaar Ji 3 added another PKR 100 million to its earnings. So far, the film has grossed a total of PKR 405.1 million (INR 122.3 million) in Pakistan, surpassing the previous record held by Carry On Jatta 3.
Despite facing release restrictions in India, Sardaar Ji 3 has performed exceptionally well on international grounds—particularly in Pakistan. Punjabi films continue to enjoy screen space in Pakistani cinemas, as most of these productions are legally associated with the UK or Canada, exempting them from local bans.
Industry analysts predict that the film’s total earnings in Pakistan could reach PKR 600 million in the coming weeks. Its comedic tone, star-studded cast, and release during the holiday season have contributed to its outstanding performance.
This success not only reflects a growing acceptance of Punjabi cinema in Pakistan but also marks a significant cultural and commercial milestone in cross-border entertainment.
