Saudi Arabia has stepped forward to support the treatment of a 16 year old Palestinian girl from war-ravaged Palestine who is battling the deadly disease of cancer.
According to Arab media, the Saudi aid agency King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center has transferred 16 year old Palestinian girl Habiba Yaqoub Ali, who is suffering from cancer, to the King Hussein Cancer Center in Amman for treatment.
Habiba Yaqoub Ali, who is suffering from lymphocytic leukemia, said that the King Salman Center has become a lifeline for people facing severe medical difficulties in Gaza.
Since October 2023, Israel’s alleged genocide in Gaza has severely damaged medical facilities. Health workers have been killed, while Tel Aviv has imposed restrictions on the supply of food and essential aid to nearly 2 million Palestinians.
In March, Israeli forces destroyed the Turkish Palestinian Friendship Hospital, which was the only specialized cancer treatment facility in Gaza.
It is noteworthy that in July 2024, the King Salman Center signed an agreement with the King Hussein Foundation and Center to provide cancer patients from Gaza with treatment in Jordan.
