NEOM — Saudi Arabia’s cabinet, led by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, has strongly criticized Israel’s expanded military campaign in the Gaza Strip, accusing it of carrying out “ethnic cleansing” against Palestinians.
In a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency, the cabinet denounced what it called acts of starvation, violence, and forced displacement, and warned that the inability of the UN Security Council and the wider international community to end the assault weakens the foundations of international law.
The remarks came after Israel approved a controversial plan to take control of Gaza City, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declaring he must “finish the mission” against Hamas to secure the release of hostages.
