Dera Ghazi Khan, August 12: CCTV footage has emerged of a firing incident that took place yesterday in the bustling Liaquat Bazaar, shedding light on the sequence of events. The video shows multiple assailants arriving at the scene, brandishing firearms, and opening fire before swiftly fleeing on motorbikes.
According to eyewitnesses, panic spread rapidly among shopkeepers and customers as gunshots rang out, forcing many to take cover inside nearby stores. No fatalities have been reported so far, though some individuals are believed to have sustained minor injuries while trying to escape.
Police officials confirmed that the footage is now under detailed review by the investigation team to identify the suspects. “We are analyzing the video frame by frame and cross-referencing with our criminal records to track down the culprits,” a police spokesperson stated.
