Pakistan’s security forces have killed two Khawarij, including a highly wanted terrorist, during an intelligence based operation in the Kulachi area of Dera Ismail Khan district, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Thursday.
According to ISPR, the operation was launched after credible intelligence reports confirmed the presence of militants in the area. During the targeted action, troops effectively engaged the hideout and neutralised two Indian-sponsored Khawarij.
One of the slain militants was identified as Dilawar, a high-value target wanted by law enforcement agencies. The government had announced a reward of Rs4 million for information leading to his arrest. ISPR stated that Dilawar was involved in several attacks on security forces and was also linked to the killing of innocent civilians.
Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the militants, while a follow-up clearance operation is underway to ensure that no remaining elements are left in the area. ISPR reaffirmed that Pakistan’s security forces remain fully committed to eradicating militancy from the country.
Earlier, on December 24, 2025, security forces conducted another intelligence-based operation in Kalat district of Balochistan, resulting in the killing of eight Indian sponsored terrorists.
ISPR said the operation was carried out on information about the presence of terrorists linked to the Indian proxy group Fitna al Hindustan. After an intense exchange of fire, all eight terrorists were neutralised.
The statement added that weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from the militants, who were actively involved in multiple terrorist activities in the region. Sanitisation operations are continuing to eliminate any remaining threats.
ISPR further said that Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies will continue their decisive counterterrorism drive under the national vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam”, approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan, to completely eliminate foreign sponsored terrorism from the country.
