The recruitment process at the Jinnah Institute of Cardiology, established for the treatment of heart diseases, has been halted due to serious irregularities.
Following alleged irregularities in the recruitment process, the Specialized Healthcare Department took action and seized the recruitment-related record, after which the entire hiring process was put on hold. Due to the non-recruitment of doctors and other staff, the plan to make the institution operational is also being affected.
The Government of Punjab constructed this modern treatment facility for heart diseases at a cost of approximately 12 billion rupees. However, due to the absence of essential medical staff, the plan to inaugurate the institution has also been delayed.
