Actress and model Shefali Jariwala, widely recognized for her breakout role in the early 2000s hit music video Kaanta Laga and her appearance on Bigg Boss 13, passed away on Friday at the age of 42.
She was rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Andheri, Mumbai, where medical staff declared her dead on arrival. According to hospital sources, she was brought in by her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, along with three other individuals. A hospital staffer stated, “She was already gone when they brought her here.”
Though medical professionals have not publicly disclosed the cause of death, Dr. Sushant of Bellevue Hospital confirmed her passing and noted that her body has been transferred to Cooper Hospital for post-mortem examination.
Shefali rose to national fame with the success of Kaanta Laga, becoming a pop culture icon in the early 2000s. Over the years, she appeared in various television shows and earned appreciation during her stint on Bigg Boss 13.
