Pakistan’s T20I captain Salman Ali Agha, Test skipper Shan Masood, and veteran all-rounder Shoaib Malik headline a strong group of 42 Pakistan cricketers registered for the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2026 auction. The high-stakes auction is scheduled for November 30, featuring 245 overseas players placed across five categories.
The upcoming BPL season will run from 26 December 2025 to 23 January 2026, but the tournament undergoes a major structural shift as the league trims down from seven teams to five. Dhaka Capitals and Rangpur Riders continue their participation, while three rebranded sides—Chattogram Royals, Rajshahi Warriors, and Sylhet Titans—enter the league after Chittagong Kings, Durbar Rajshahi, and Sylhet Strikers exited. Defending champions Fortune Barishal and Khulna Tigers will not take part this season.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board has confirmed franchise participation but ownership details of the newly rebranded teams remain pending. Ahead of the auction, several international players have already been snapped up. Pakistan spinner Abrar Ahmed joins the new-look Chattogram Royals, while Saim Ayub, Moeen Ali, Mohammad Amir, and Azmatullah Omarzai strengthen Sylhet Titans.
Dhaka Capitals have secured English star Alex Hales and Pakistan’s Usman Khan, whereas Kusal Mendis has been pre-signed by Noakhali Express. Pakistani players are spread across categories A to E, with top names including Shoaib Malik, Shan Masood, Salman Ali Agha, Zaman Khan, Mohammad Haris, Aamer Jamal, Asif Ali, Saud Shakeel, Haider Ali, Usman Qadir, Rumman Raees, and many others.
The auction is expected to witness fierce competition as franchises aim to rebuild squads for a highly revamped edition of the BPL.
