HYDERABAD, August 25, 2025 — Severe traffic disruption was reported on Wadhu Wah Road in Hyderabad due to illegal encroachments by local showroom owners, who have allegedly occupied two out of three lanes of the main road, leaving commuters stranded and causing frequent collisions.
Eyewitnesses stated that vehicles parked haphazardly outside showrooms have turned the public road into a virtual private parking lot. The situation worsened when a Vigo pickup driver reportedly rammed into multiple vehicles from behind, causing damage and panic among motorists.
Despite repeated complaints from citizens, no action has been taken by municipal authorities to address the growing encroachment issue. Residents expressed frustration over the lack of enforcement, stating that similar conditions prevail in several commercial zones across Karachi, where public roads are routinely blocked by vendors and showroom operators.
The absence of regulatory oversight continues to exacerbate urban congestion and poses serious safety risks to pedestrians and drivers alike.
