Sindh’s Education Department has prohibited private schools from forcing students to wear specific winter jacket colors or designs. The directive, issued on the orders of Education Minister Sardar Shah, emphasizes that children may choose any warm clothing during the winter season.

According to a notification from the Directorate of Private Institutions, schools must immediately stop pressuring parents to buy uniform-specific winter jackets. Additional Director Rafia Javed warned that action will be taken against those violating the policy.

Minister Sardar Shah stated that students’ comfort and health should be prioritized as temperatures drop, urging all institutions to avoid imposing unnecessary financial burdens on families.
